Tiffany M. True

LCSW, LIMHP, Therapist
Nebraska and Colorado

I appreciate the courage it takes to seek therapy. If you are struggling with loss or life transitions, stuck in various forms of addiction or simply desire objectivity then I welcome the opportunity to support you. It's a privilege to work with clients as they uncover meaningful connections between their past and present, bring unconscious patterns to awareness, and gently shift emotional responses that no longer serve them.  My therapeutic style is both direct and compassionate, guided by curiosity and collaboration.

About

"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves..."

-Rainer Maria Rilke

Early in my career I felt misaligned with my work, and that led me to therapy. What started as a search for more purposeful direction led to a deeper investigation into my own history and patterns. The process was substantive and transformative, ultimately inspiring me to pursue a career in clinical social work. I hold both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and bring ten years of clinical experience to my practice.

EXPERIENCE

My early work experience was in addiction with substance use and process addictions.  At the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a team of psychiatrists and therapists, I helped create and deliver programming for the hospital's first intensive outpatient program (IOP).

Later at Family Enrichment, Omaha's longest-standing group practice, I grew professionally as a third managing partner.  There I helped oversee operations of the practice and compliance with regulatory requirements, in addition to providing therapy.  Today I have a solo practice in Nebraska and Colorado and split my time at both locations.

I have served on professional boards and supervised students. I'm a member of multiple consultation groups that meet regularly to review best practices and the latest in therapy interventions and modalities.  â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

TECHNIQUE

I integrate a range of evidence-based therapies that include trauma-informed, relational, and embodied approaches. I am certified in Brainspotting through the Rocky Mountain Brainspotting Institute and am pursuing certification in the Gestalt method. My work is also informed by early training in psychodynamic theory, which continues to shape my perspective with clients.
